It’s not an easy job to create an alternative version of Kings Of Leon’s modern rock classic Sex On Fire. UK production duo 2beards (your turn to guess which facial features inspired their name) pulled it off though! Not in the least due to Zoë Phillips’ beautifully crafted cover vocal, supported by guitars, a soft beat and some tropical plucks.
“Having worked with Zoë before on some hugely successful tracks, we had been waiting for the right opportunity to join up again”, 2beards comment. “Over a zoom catch up, we talked about iconic records and timeless melodies and Sex on Fire came up. From there things came together very quickly!”
