New Music Friday: Soave's latest music releases

Braaheim and Now O Later bring Coldplay’s Speed of Sound to the dancefloor

If anyone has moved at the “Speed of Sound” here at Soave, one candidate has to be Braaheim. A strong one at that, the Norwegian DJ and producer carries a seemingly unending catalog that consistently counts over 5 million unique listeners a month. To celebrate that feat - and style - Braaheim releases “Speed of Sound”, a cover of Coldplay’s original that sees the Norwegian flaunt trance-inspired synth work in the form of a 2024 techno-slash-speed house sound. It’s pacey, hard-hitting, and totally ecstatic - a sure hit on club, festival and living room dancefloors alike!

But of course there's more!

Nexeri, a 20-year-old prodigy from France, continues to make waves in the chill house genre with his latest release that features melodic guitar-driven pieces paired with emotional vocals. This new track promises to captivate listeners, urging them to hit "Replay" again and again. Transitioning to a collaborative effort, LDVC, Danish Breakfast, LAUWE, and Willy Jules have created a deep house tune that perfectly balances contemplative and euphoric elements, making it a must-have for your summer playlist. Meanwhile, Thnked and Lemonade Kenny transport us with "Hometown," a tropical house track that merges nostalgic lyricism with innovative production, heralding an exciting future for the genre.Norwegian producer Adrian Knows, alongside the German duo Aexcit, impresses with "Promises," a melodic house track that blends acoustic charm with house euphoria. In a similar vein, Braaten teams up with Raphael DeLove to transform Katy Perry’s "Teenage Dream" into a chill house delight, showcasing their knack for reviving classics with a modern twist. Adding to the seasonal vibes, Nate VanDeusen and Iaco offer a fine, memorable groove that blends acoustic and dance elements, perfect for floating through the summer season. On the smoother side of summer tunes, Honey and Namté introduce "Bad Bad Man," a chill house track that combines warm vocals with comforting songwriting. Not far behind, Le P and Sam Pellegrino's collaboration "Trust The Fall" envelops listeners in rich, heartfelt melodies, floating them amidst a serene oceanic backdrop. Fulmo, alongside Small ToK and Alex Schneider, crafts "This Moment," a summer anthem driven by Schneider’s exceptional saxophone work, which pairs perfectly with a refreshing summer drink.

Elevating the tempo, Level 8, alongside 3ric and Felix, captures hearts with "High On You," a track that pays homage to classic deep house while infusing it with catchy, contemporary beats.

The sound of Afro house shines brightly with French producers Bredaa and Simon Wiart's "Kamata," featuring Nes Mburu's soulful vocals—a perfect soundtrack for either sunrise or sunset.

Finally, the Croatian DJ duo Vanillaz continues to impress with "Azmara," a progressive house melody that showcases their enduring relevance in the electronic music scene, while Big Z and B Martin wrap up the roster with "Sweet Torture," a deep house track that combines bouncy grooves with deep bass, making a compelling case for dance floor dominance this season.
