For a man who’s only just released his debut EP via Soave late this summer, Emilian Lewis has no time for rest as he continues to make his mark on the indie scene. While his EP ‘I Wonder’ took a relatively chipper approach that straddled along the lines of indie house and dance pop, his new single takes things slower.
‘Down’ begins with soft lo-fi chords accompanied by echoed hums, quickly transitioning into a smooth 4-on-the-floor groove you won’t resist bobbing your heads to. Emilian’s message here however takes a far more heartfelt approach, speaking to the unending pit addiction may bury someone in. Beautifully written, this is an honest wonder the German artist kindly delights us with!
